Dangerous Lorraines loves to do things a little different. The program is entitled "Cafe Lorraine" and we use chairs, shoes, other randomly fun things in our choreography. I'm excited and I hope to see you there!
This is Melisa. She loves to layer her dance clothes and goof around. Her satin stilettos are super cute at the club and will be used in the show.
Dangerous Lorraines Dance Theater will perform February 11-14th at CSUS. Details to follow.
What's the weirdest dance performance you ever saw? I heard of one where a woman peed on stage. I will not be doing that at any time.

o.k...well, a few Christmas' ago Ty and I went to a hula show at the Palace of Fine Arts in SFO. The choreographer/kumu is famous for his "outside the box" hula. Anyways, the opening number was a bunch of women and girls, all shapes and sizes, kneeling on the ground doing the hula. The lights were dim and they were wearing really traditional "kahiko" attire. Anyways, as the lights slowly came up, we saw about 70 topless women on the stage. Some of the women were our friends. Needless to say, it was the craziest performance ever. While I'm sure it was beautiful to some people in the audience, the other 90% were basically in shock and laughing their heads off. Including my sisters. So, as you can imagine, we haven't been back to this halau's show since then..
Sandra, I know who you're talking about. He was on a PBS special a long time ago that my friend was in.
Tiff, I won't even be here for your performace! That's annoying.
I only attended dance performances when I was about five when I was in recitals myself. I never saw anything really peculiar. Well...once the tape messed up during someone's performances, and the girl started crying; but I guess that's not really weird... :/
