After searching many years for the movie, I finally found the Secret Garden Heather and I loved as kids. When I say loved I mean watched multuple times in a row and memorized every single line. I know there are multiple versions but please tell me if you've seen this one because I've met very few who have.
Maybe it's the cold weather or frost on the ground but I've been thinking a lot about gardens lately. Thornless roses and secret gardens are top on my list. I love gardens and hope to one day have one.
Do you have a garden? Have you seen this version of the Secret Garden? What's your favorite flower? Hillary from Matthew and Hillary doesn't like roses but loves daisies.

Me at the National Cathedral Garden in Washington DC. Obviously not so secret since there are people in the background. But, I was super excited to explore this beautiful garden. The fact that they had an old wooden bench made this garden exceptionally wonderful.

I loved the Secret Garden movie! Different version, but still a great story.
That was one of my FAVORITE books as a child...and I would probably still love it today! I don't think I've seen this version...but then again it's been a long time. I would love to start a "movie club" where we get together and watch random, nastalgic or just any 'ol good movie. If only my children could fit into that equation.
How many more performances do you have? I really want to go I just don't think I will be able to sneak away. :( :(
your post just reminded me how my brothers and i used to watch Batman, Cinderella and Lady & the Tramp ALL of the time...every weekend without fail.
i did read the Secret Garden when i was young and loved it...a must-read for every young girl.
xox
Chelzers- I have two more performances, tonight and tomorrow afternoon. A movie club sounds so fun! There are so many classics I've never seen. Casablanca is one that comes to mind.
Mademoiselle Frou-Frou- Lady and the Tramp was such a good movie. It always made me want to eat spaghetti and meat balls.
We have a patio and I started growing an herb garden and now have added flowering plants and succulents. I'm really interested in growing stuff (especially if it's edible). I would love to have a real garden someday too.
Is that the version where Dickon goes off to war and comes back and falls in love with the girl? I can't remember. I think I've seen this version.
Hillary- I don't think it's the same one. There's a sequel where he comes back and they fall in love but in this one they are all just really good friends. Mary Lennox is the biggest brat ever in this one but that's why it's so good.
