Winter Walks

When Chris and I were dating and living in Utah we went on walks almost every night. The majority of our walks happened in the cold (I saw snow capped mountains in September. SEPTEMBER!) but that did not stop our nightly walks. We would bundle up, choose a path, and walk for hours. Looking back I can't believe we went on walks in twenty degree weather, with snow on the ground and icicles on the trees. I can't imagine doing the same today but I will forever remember our special winter walks.

Provo, circa 2003 right outside of Chris' apartment.

Do you and your loved one take winter walks?  Or would you rather snuggle up with hot cocoa on the couch?

I still love going on walks with Matthew as often as we get a chance, which is rare now since we can't just leave our sleeping baby at home. I guess we have another 10 years or so before we could safely step out for a few minutes. There's is something very lovely about walking with the man you love, huh?

I love to play winter football! Ryan thinks it's crazy, but when it gets cold I love to toss on a sweatshirt, grab the pigskin, and toss it back and forth with freezing fingers. THEN I come in and enjoy hot cocoa.

mmm i love how still the world gets when snow is falling. like it muffles out all the sound and everything is quiet but the crunch of your shoes. winter walks are so very romantic.
