A New Routine: A Dancer's Life

Today was a lazy day. Mondays are like that for me and I hate/love it. I love having my days packed with being a productive member of society but I also love knowing I have very little to do. I mean, there's always something to do (read, clean, etc.) but on Mondays I only have one rehearsal and then I'm free.

So today I decided that from now on I'm waking up every morning at 5:30 with Chris. The day will start with reading and writing and then maybe, just maybe, I'll go on the treadmill until I need to get to ballet/rehearsal. Just for the record, I hate mornings so I don't know how well this new schedule will go (or if Chris will survive) but I am hopeful and determined to make it work.

Note: Photo shoot in Downtown Sacramento for the dance company I'm in. I'm in the middle with the keyhole dress. Yes, that's my dress and yes I got it on sale because it was missing the belt. $14.99 down from $39.99 at Target. It's a great story with a happy ending.

Use It or Lose It!

My body is constantly sore, my muscles are weak, and my back feels like it could give out any minute. I love it! I've been dancing a lot lately and it feels good. I've also been on the treadmill almost everyday. Instead of making me more tired and weak it helps me be relaxed and energized. I actually look forward to that 45 minutes of productive 'me' time. Bodies are an amazing thing and I love how the more you use yours the stronger it gets.
