One of my first modern shots. I remember thinking, "Man, this is harder than it looks!"
I like this one only because it reminds me of Isadora Duncan. Free form.
I like my scary man calves in this one.
Not much technically going on here but I like the post modern "I'm not doing much" vibe.
I like everything but my foot. Can we Photoshop that? Haha.
In my head I was doing a back bend. My back isn't even bent!
I really didn't like this one at first but it has grown on me. Seriously need some tanning lotion.
I don't even remember doing this one.
I like this one only because I never thought I could do it. Tony, one of the guys helping out at the shoot, said "Jump" so I jumped and this was what happened.
Ballet is so beautiful but I find so much more satisfaction with modern. What do you like better? Ballet or Modern?

Beautiful pictures! I love that last one! I don't think I could do a single one of those poses :).
love the last one too! I think ballet. :) I love modern too, but , personally, I've experienced too much... mmm... TOO much of the open minded choreographers. I mean... it's STILL a dance form. Peeing on the stage... doesn't have a technique, particularly, does it? Or coming out, loosing the underwear and leaving... Dance doesn't always have to be "pink tutu and sugarcanes", but it DOES have to be TECHNICAL and BEAUTIFUL. Even if it is making a radical statement. Modern branch tends to completely disregard that more and more.
Funnily enough, that comes from someone who spent 2 years with paul taylor :) LOL. What was I thinking?!
@JESSICA LAUREN- can't wait to visit your blog. Thanks for the kind words.
@Olya- you danced with Paul Taylor? Details!
these are SO beautiful!!! i love the modern AND ballet poses, but my favorite are your jumping pictures. they look so effortless :)
Beautiful! Personally I am in love with Ballet, but Modern can be just as beautiful and inspiring for me.
Love this set too! Don't worry about your legs, whoever heard of a tan ballet dancer? :-)
The jumping one is really amazing!

That last shot is so perfect!
Last one is awsome my fav! I loved modern & contempory the best I could let myself go more!
those are very cool -- if i was told to jump it definitely would not look like that!
I miss modern dance so much, it's my favorite style. Great pics!

deeeeeefinitely modern. i used to be a diehard ballet lover...and then i finally took a modern class. it's so much more expressive, and it just feels so good.
