Dancing Branflakes Goes to the Opera

Happy Weekend!  How is yours going so far?  Mine is starting off great.

This morning I walked to my local yoga studio and took my first yoga class in five years.  That's right, I live less than a half mile away from a yoga studio and I don't go.  The studio was nice and looked more like a spa resort, which is probably why a class is $15.  But I have a gift certificate that my husband gave me for Christmas.  He also gave me a yoga DVD that I have yet to use.  The embarassing part of the class is that my mat wouldn't stay flat because it's so old and has essentially never been used before.  Lame, huh?

But the class was refreshing and challenging so I signed up for more.  Maybe I'll become a yogi!  My friend, Stacy over at In Search of the Finer Things, blogged about a quiz Gaiam has on their website.  It's called What Kind of a Yogi Are You?  It's a fun quiz and it turns out I am (gasp!) a social butterfly.  They suggested I take Anusura yoga.  Maybe I will, Gaiam.  Maybe I will.

And tonight, after rehearsal, I am going to the opera!  My friends invited Chris and I to see La Traviata.  I love the opera, not really for the singing and music but for the getting dressed up and feeling grown up.  Time to pick out the outfit.  If you were going to the opera, what dress would you choose?

Fun and happy.  I love the pleats and the flirty neckline.

I love the bow and the color!

I'll be honest, I love the bottom.  It's like origami in taffeta.

I've only done yoga once in my life and that was 6 years ago! I've been thinking about doing it soon though, I think I will!

I've tried yoga a few times and really liked it. I looked into that place you went to but was turned off by the price and the fact that they didn't have classes at times that would work for me. Anyway, you'll have to keep us updated on your yoga. :)

P.S. I love ALL of those dresses! I'm with you. I like going to the opera just for the sophistication of it all.
