Trash The Dress

My friend from En Pointe Photography (who you all know I blog about so much) does Trash the Dress sessions with her clients.  Even though the idea of getting a wedding dress dirty sounds horrifying to some, it has developed quite a following for those wanting to get another use out their dress after the main event.  I love how she captures the essence of each couple and makes them look absolutely gorgeous.

Disclaimer: No dresses were harmed in the photographic process.

Aren't these awesome?  Shes does non beaches one also but I just loved the contrast of the wet sand and the white dresses.  Did you do anything like this after you got married?  I'm tempted but I think I've been married too long.

I love this!!! When I got divorced 5 years ago I cut my wedding dress into a Halloween costume and went as the Corpse Bride! :]

Those are super cool! I would be a bit terrified of doing that in my dress, but for such awesome pictures I would be tempted!

I don't think I'd ever be able to do that to my wedding gown - but I do kind of love the result of the pictures!! :)

I actually think this is super super awesome. I don't know if I could do it myself (who knows!) but the photos are great. How fun would it be to be kissing your sweetheart as the waves comes crashing into you? Awesome! Definitely going to check out the photo blog.

Have a great weekend!!

do they do it for brides who have been married for 8 years? I'd bust my dress out for some awesome photos like this!

This looks like fun! I mean, let's face it, after most people get married, the dress gets dry-cleaned and then stuck in a box, never to be worn again. I love that people are having fun, not being afraid to get their dresses dirty -- and they get awesome pics out of it too? I'm sold. Perhaps I'll do the same one day.

Of course you haven't been married too long. If you do it, you do it for you :)
