Girl Crush

I admit, as a foodie I have a total girl crush on Giada De Laurentiis.  And she is 80 miles from my house today.  Sigh.

Here are some facts from her website:

~Her husband works with Anthropologie and that's where she gets most of her wardrobe.
~She wears OPI nail polish in Bubble Bath (I love her nails!).
~She attributes her trim physique to her genes, eating fresh, and not stuffing herself full.
~Besides Italian she loves Japanese food.
~Her famous blue and white measuring spoons and pastel measuring cups are also from Anthropologie.
~She's in San Francisco at Williams and Sonoma today!  So close, yet so far.

Also, a thank you goes out to these awesome bloggers for giving me blog awards.  This past few days have been particularly hard for me so getting these awards definitely brightened my mood.

  1. Yes, I love her! Her food always looks wonderful. I must admit, I am often confused my how small she is - sometimes, she appears of average height and then all of the sudden the camera angles shifts she looks tiny. Random, I know. =)

  2. She is one of my favorites on Food Network! Ina is my favorite but Giada is a close second... Plus, her dishes are usually slightly healthier than Ina's.

I had no idea her husband worked for Anthro... Wish I could work for them and create cool stuff for them... or just get their coffee. Whatever works.

I'm sorry you've had a rough week so far... hopefully it gets better soon! Hang in there, tiny dancer! :)

  5. I think she's beautiful but I feel like every time I turn on her cooking show she's got too much cleavage!!!

By the way, I went to a school assembly today that is held by a local dance company:

It was so cute seeing the dancers improv sentences the children made up :)

  7. She makes eating such a sensual experience!! haha. Have you read the book Why French Women Don't Get Fat? I take it with a grain of salt, however most of it is great and she recommends not stuffing yourself, eating fresh seasonal foods, and enjoying what you eat. And you don't have to be French to do that!

Make sure you are taking care of yourself this week!

  10. Aw, Giada reminds me of my (big) sister- tiny and pretty and crazy about pasta!
Very cute. I like her shows and books, and I don't even like that sort of food (pasta and such)- she's just interesting and fun to watch.

    Have a great day!
