It seems that a lot of people find their loves during the summer. Why is that? Maybe it's the school day mentality that summer is a time for freedom, traveling, and meeting cute boys at parks. I know Mr. Branflake and I fell in love during the summer. When the days are hot and the sun is bright I always think back to our walks during the cool summer nights and hour long good-bye's under the star studded sky. We had an awesome summer courtship.
All my condolences to Marija's family. If you have a chance, please send love their way. This bright blogger was killed in a car accident a few days ago. Her loving husband recounts their love in the latest entry on her blog, Holding Court. A loss like this is surely felt through out the whole blogging community.

My boyfriend and I actually met at school, in January, but that's perfect for us. I was never lucky in love at summertime -- my head was always in a book.
And the loss of Marija is so sad. It breaks my heart.

My bf and I fell in love during the summer too. There's something about those warm summer days, ice cream and splashing through the surf, staying outside late while the air is still hot...summer lovin' indeed :)

it's so shocking and tragic what happened to Marija. My heart aches for her friends and family, especially her husband and beautiful kids. I can't imagine.
hmmm summer love is definitely magical :) I am not sure why summer is the catalyst for so much romance, maybe it's the lack of clothing, the longer days, the carefree nostalgia or all of the above! I love that photo you posted, so adorable!

Sad, immeasurably sad, for the loss of this blogger, for her family, husband, loved ones. Where she left behind a hole with her loss, she also left behind her heart.
