Last Dance

Dear Blogging Friends,

Thank you for an awesome Summer.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos from Italy, Paris, and the English Countryside.  Thank you for letting me into your world of family reunions, barbecues, and cute sandals.  I loved spending the Summer with you and you have helped make it the best one I have ever had.  And even though Fall does not officially start until another 23 days I feel like it is time Summer Dancing Branflake says farewell and Fall Dancing Branflake emerges.  There are Summer things I wish I blogged about but ran out of time: lighthouses, sandcastles, and watermelon.  But my heart is no longer in the hot Summer months and I am finding inspiration elsewhere.

Thank you again, dear blogging friends, and I can't wait to see you in September (tomorrow) with orange trees, brown boots, and new foods to delight the senses.

All my love,

Dancing Branflake
ps... I cannot wait to ride my bike in the Fall.  Talk about inspiring!

Are you doing a last dance of Summer?

I felt something change in the air of my life yesterday. Fall is definitely on it's way. But for some reason, in spite of glorious summer days, I don't mourn the close of this summer. This fall will be beautiful.

I love this post! :] Summer is over for me, offcially. I started school yesterday. But I'm hoping to get one last weekend road trip in to a swimming hole before it's no longer hot!

This post is just the sweetest. It's like the bittersweet moments between seasons when you look back and remember all the good times and then look forward to all the good things to come. Not only seasons, we do that with life! With every new chapter!
It reminds me of one of my favorite Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes: "Our fear of death is like our fear that summer will be short, but when we have had our swing of pleasure, our fill of fruit, and our swelter of heat, we say we have had our day."

Happy last day of summer to you, Tiffany! Let's all make it a good one :)

I'm actually really excited for fall - my favorite season! And well, since my summer was cut short from starting classes early, I guess sleeping in would be my perfect last day of summer! lol

I love Summer but I think I loved it more when I was not living in a Country where it's Summer every. single. day!

I can't wait for fall, I a going to live it vicariously through all of you and bike riding sounds like something I would love to do.

Thanks for a great Summer time!

I love today's entry!

Summer lasted all but two days here in San Francisco. In the brisk summer breeze, though, my boyfriend, old roommate and I danced our way around the Palace of Fine Arts last night. It is the most beautiful structure in the evenings, and our way of reining in autumn.

Cheers!
