Looking Good with a Hat

This Banana Republic model is making me want to bust out my hats a little early.  I love how it accentuates her gorgeous eyes.  Bring on the cold!
Hat found here.

Are you a hat person?
And if so, how do you combat hat hair?

i love love love hats! But I tend to combat hat hair but no wearing them as much as I would like. They usually get pulled out when I need to hide a bad hair day!

Love hats, hate hat hair. I usually end up wearing it all day long (on the weekends) or hurry up and take it off when I get in the car and put on again before I step out. I read once to flip your hair the opposite direction before putting it on, tried it a few times but didn't make a difference for me...

I'm a really big hat person :) I have more hats than I know what to do with!! But I love them so much - I just need to find more occasions to wear them :)

I've become a real winter hat convert in recent years! Practical *and* cute :) I have terribly uncontrollable hair, and I find that using a medium-small clip to hold everything back in a kinda ponytail really helps! You just release the clip when you take of the hat! (And a smallish clip doesn't look too bulky and awkward).

Oh hats, how I love you!

When I was in high school, a close family friend gave me all her mother's hats-hundreds, all in their original boxes. Even though I wasn't able to bring very many of them to SF, I wear the ones I did all the time.

As for hat hair, it depends on the hat. If it's a pillbox, has a little veil or gets pinned on, I like to style me hair up (and well sprayed!) and then leave the hat on! If it's more of a winter hat, I like to wear my hair down; when you're ready to take it off, just shake out your hair quickly and no one will know the difference!

The only hats I've ever been able to pull off in my adult life are beanies of the slouchy kind. I love them and look forward to wearing them every year!

Love hats! I usually either wear my hair completely down or in a bun under the hat to be taken down when I take the hat off...

Sometimes the hat works sometimes it doesn't. I look cute in a beret but yeah Monica Lewinsky kinda ruined those. hehe. =P

Hats are great for me when I already am having a bad hair day, seems to be my common case in the cooler weather, but. I have been loving the new trend like this hat Rumi is wearing (meanswear inspired) so looking to buy something simular..

love hats. love them. i combat hat hair by not taking the hat off until i'm home and out of sight. however, i generally save wearing hats for the 2nd day hair (or..gasp..3rd) so it gets washed later anyway. :)

Hi! Thanks so much for stopping by and checking in on me... a post is in the works! :)

I love hats, and very much want a beret this fall, but I can't seem to find one that doesn't look silly when I try them on :( I must keep searching... :)

she looks FABULOUS!

i have worn knit caps like this before, and received lots of compliments! it is a great thing to do in cold weather, particularly if your hair is a mess and you do NOT have to remove the cap!

I have found one hat, ONE that looks good on me. Other than that, not a hat person, and we live in the South so I don't need to be! Mary and James talked about Katrina, upcoming elections, etc. which was very entertaining and then did a Q and A which was LAME! I'm like, come on, students, could you come up with a better question than "What have you learned from your failures?" Lame-o, I hate broad questions like that. It was great though, overall, v. interesting! XX!

I love the hat but I'm sadly not a hat person -- my head is just a bit too big to fit into most normal hats. It's a bit sad, but I sometimes manage to find really cute ones that work well. Usually winter ones. I'd love some summer or fall hats.

I'm determined to BECOME a hat person... someday.
