18 After 18

There's a number of things I did as a kid that I have always wanted to do as an adult.  I call it my 18 After 18 list.   Because I don't have children and also because adulthood is so, well, adulty, I was shocked at how  many cool things my adult self has yet to experience.  This list begs the question: Why did I stop being a kid?
My 18 After 18 List:
~Go to the zoo
~Watch a movie at the drive-in
~Go ice skating
~Carve a pumpkin
~Go skiing
~Travel to France
~Watch Saturday morning cartoons, alone, with a bowl of cereal
~Blow bubbles in my milk
~ Practice my signature just to, you know, practice it.
~Drink a 7-11 Cherry Supersized Slurpee
~Take a tour of an ice cream factory
~ 3 way phone call with my best friends
~Have a birthday party with a theme, presents, and live entertainment
~Visit a real castle
~Dress up for Halloween
~Go to Apple Hill
~See a professional basketball game
~Horseback ride on the beach

I tag everyone that wants to do this to make their own
18 After 18 list
Let me know if you've done it so we can be 18 After 18 buddies!
And here's a Dancing Branflake 18 After 18 button to use on your blog post (you know, if you want).

ALSO!
I am guest blogging today over at Little Girl, Big World while Ashleigh is on a mini vacay.
The post is about a very Branflake moment that makes me smile just thinking about it.  See it here.

PS... What happened to tonight's dinner party?  It will resume next Friday.  I have some very special things planned.

I love this idea! I made my 30 before 30 list last December, and honestly, I've found it a bit overwhelming. But this is a good way to keep yourself young without setting crazy time limits on things. I really like that. And anytime you want to go ice skating, I'm in.

i LOVE this list! its so original (or i haven't seen it before). i might have to do this. im tweaking my 30 things before 30 but might have to take a break from that and do this one!!

have a great weekend, tiff!

Brandi and Ilene- that is exactly why I thought of this. I wanted to make a 30 before 30 list but it was way too much for me to handle.

Ilene- I think I made this up. I haven't seen it before either. But maybe I already have an 18 Before 18 buddy and not even know it.

Very cute list! I had a similar thought 2 years ago and started doing all these "kiddie" stuff together with my friends. It's fun reliving those activities :)

Haha I remember practicing my signature too - I thought I was the only dork who did it lmao.

I really love this idea! It's always so important to stay youthful and have that kind of excitement for life. Reading your list made me smile this morning - it just brings back so many sweet memories of childhood :)

Can I take your 18 After 18 list, Tiffany? Seriously, I feel like we are two of a kind!! :)

I like your list! I've done a lot of the things you've listed already...but I WOULD like to ride a horse on the beach! Also, I'd love to watch Saturday morning cartoons, but I think all the good ones are dead and gone.

I might do this list myself in a little bit! It's a great idea.

Thanks for your comment! I'm really liking your blog. Say hello to your newest follower!

I love this idea too! As well as the 30 after 30 one others mentioned. I'm thinking of doing a 40 after 40 one of these days (just to get ready! :)) I'd love to watch a drive-in movie, I wonder if those places even exist anymore?

Love this idea!! I was just thinking the other day that it's not so much the things I haven't done yet but the things I used to do but gave up on that bug me.
One thing we have started doing is watching movies we loved as kids again, a couple nights ago it was "Flight of the Navigator", I think I loved it even more this time than I did the first time!
And, um, I totally blow bubbles in my milk still, and then my husband rolls his eyes at me.

This is such a great idea! This grown up, adult business is overrated and I think it's time to bring the childhood slurpee back!

Love the idea! I will start working on mine right now! :D

Great list! I am in the same boat as you, sometimes it's nice to do "kid" stuff even if there are no kids!

I just love this list! I'm going to have to give it a shot. Ah to be young again :) Have a wonderful weekend, sweetie!

I totally agree - no -one should ever stop being a kid.

When you are an adult, it's those crazy moments when you just go for it as a child would, that you really enjoy.

Happy, crazy weekend !

Awesome! I'm in. Although, half of my list might end up being what's already on your list -- your list is rockin'.

PS - Can't believe you've never carved a pumpkin as an adult!?

Gosh - I better get started on my 30 before 30 list. March 2011 is fast approaching.

I like the idea of 18 after 18 though...gives one less time pressure! :-)

Such a cute idea! I was laughing at the blowing bubbles into milk and at the practicing your signature just to practice it! I still wait for Santa to visit and lay out milk and cookies for him on Christmas Eve -- doesn't everybody? ;)

Super fun...I may have to make a list like this...it would include a lot of traveling I think...

I have never done one. I have to say that there is a lot of thing tht I would love to do that would require me to make a list in order to accomplish them.

So little time to do the things we really want.
