Pushing Myself Physically

Yesterday's post about "Desire to Take Flight" spurred an incredible amount of many amazing comments.  I really need to post them as part of a quote series or something.  You guys are so inspirational!

This piece, which is a quartet, is the hardest piece I have ever had to perform and I love that I have an opportunity to fully extend myself just like the title implies.

If you want to see "Desire to Take Flight" in person we are performing it this Saturday in Davis, CA. Dangerous Lorraines Dance Theater and three other dance companies will be presenting choreographic works in a performance called Dance As Is
And tomorrow I'll be posting photos from the Crocker Art Museum performance.  They are incredible!

Have an awesome dancing day!

I'm sure you will be graceful, powerful, and awe inspiring (and thanks for sharing this with us).

I listened to a few dancers from the Lyon ballet talk about strength involved in dancing with that particular production (it was very athletic with a lot of jumps). It was just so interesting to see how different choreographers, style, and athleticism effected dancers and our reactions so much

I would absolutely love to see you dance in this show. But I looked up Davis and it's too far. Sadness. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be performing at least one day I'm there in December.

Aw, I would love to see you dance but alas we are on the opposite coast. I am quite certain however that a dancer such as yourself, whose love and passion for dance literally jump at me through the laptop screen, will give a fantastic performance!!!

oh i wish i lived closer to davis! your last post was so inspirational and i would love to see the performance behind the story. it reminds me of the regina spektor song "two birds." have you heard it? one tries to get the other to fly away with him, but the other is too content to just sit on the wire. it's great!

This sounds amazing. You are so dedicated and talented. I can't wait to see the pictures from your last show. I think dance culture is so interesting, i'd love to read more posts on your experiences.

I went there because Handsome was meeting me there. We aren't back together, but it was nice to see each other. It is bittersweet. My heart hurts for the end of something special, but it was nice to spend time together.
