Daffodils

Trader Joe's has an amazing thing going on.  They are selling a bushel of daffodils for only $1.29 each.  I bought four of them, placed them in my new Ikea vase, and they instantly brightened up our kitchen.

Mr. Branflake kindly took pictures of me holding them.
When I asked him what I should wear he said, "Your Anthropologie apron!"

Oh, yes, my favorite apron.
He gave it to me for my birthday five years ago.
It was my first Anthropologie item and I treasure it.
What can I say?  The man has a good sense of style.

(Please excuse my marked up knees.  It's from dancing but I feel like an 8 year old kid with scabby knees.)

I call this dress (another Target find) my prairie dress.  My boots were on sale at Macy's for $8.
I fully intend on wearing them to the beach when it's rainy and too cold to swim in the ocean.

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

-William Wordsworth

With the last name of Wordsworth, you've got to be a person of beautiful words, right? Great quote.

Those daffodils are so delightful. I wanted to buy some at the grocery this weekend but they didn't have any good looking ones. Trader Joe's is where its' at! Also, that apron is gorgeous! As are your boots. Great post, I say!

Your dress compliments the daffodils perfectly. Or they compliment you? I'm not sure which way it goes. Either way, they're lovely and at such a good deal, I think I'll be adding bunches of yellow to my home very soon!

Those are SO pretty! Can I tell you a secret? I've never been to Trader Joe's!!

And to your comment: You totally need to read the Alchemist. I think you especially will appreciate it's theme. It sort of hints that even if things are going according to your plan, maybe God and the universe have something better in mind. Like how you and your husband started out maybe?

And yes, I really loved the Zahir as well :)
