I bought the following dress when I asked myself this question:
What if I get invited to a polo match? The dress would have to be light, appropriate for outdoors, stylish, and complement a big floppy hat.
The fact that it had polka dots sealed the deal.
When going to a polo match you should have the right shoes. No stilettos.
Coincidently this is also a good dress for daisy picking.
I asked Mr. Branflake what scarf I should wear and he picked this one.
Similarly demonstrated in yesterday's post, he has an eye for style.
What are your "what if" outfits?
ps... I hope you all get to pick some daisies soon!

Oh, I wish I had a what if dress ! I struggle to get that organised at any time, let alone for a special occassion!
I like your "what if" philosophy! And I like the look very much! super cute dress.
The dress looks lovely on you! I love the fun pattern, you look ready for a Hamptons polo match ;)
you look so gorgeous! a what-if dress...i love the thought behind it!!!
Ooo what a beautiful dress!!! I love the scarf! It's such a nice touch! Aww I wish I had daisies now. =)
I have a striped grey and black dress on top and then it turns into a black long flowy skirt. It makes me feel like Carrie in SATC when she first goes to Paris. It's my "what if" dress. =)

I like the idea of calling them "what if" outfits -- I've always been honest about the fact that my clothing is like costumes for me. Not elaborate in that way, but some dresses change my character a wee bit or make me feel like I'm in the middle of an exciting story. I think that's still the actress in me. I always did like drama. And this dress you're in is adorable, especially with those shoes!
Though this is something that I have never before tried myself, I am so snagging your what if? perspective - love it!! :)
That is such a great polo match outfit! I do have outfits for different occasions - the wedding in Europe, brunch with the girls, a charity event, hehe.

You are lovely. I love that these photos were taken ay twilight and totally stand by what I said aabout your hair. So beautiful. I remember when I first learned to make flower chains! It opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Making them now makes me feel young at heart.
You look so cuteee, Tiffany! :) This is such a cute outfit - you definitely look ready for a polo match, or a fabulous night on the town with the husband! I love that you ask yourself the "what if" questions...I remember in an earlier post, you had said you ask yourself if you would wear this while traveling to a fantastic place...I just love that. I really need to make that a habit! :)
Haha I love your what if philosophy!
I love that you're doing outfit posts more often. I think you have the cutest style.
hehe you are soo adorbs in that last pic! and that dress and your shoes are amazing!!
You are so cute! Do you know that I think you sometimes when I am shopping because you once wrote a comment that said, "If it doesn't make you do a happy dance, don't buy it!" Loved that - it's so true!!

How I adore you-I always dress in "What ifs" or little costumes! Yesterday it was, "What if I was an equestrian?" and today it was, "What if I had serious Jersey pride?" (I'm wearing an I heart NJ tee and a little black cashmere cardigan, because not all Jersey girls are cheap!)
lovely outfit!! cute dress and photos <3
Oooh, "what if I get invited to a sailing trip in one of those grand sailing boats?" and "what if I get to travel to Buenos Aires (the Paris of South America)?
Those are my two current outfit-wishes/fantasies. haha.
That is such a sweet dress and I also adore polka dots lately. I have a beautiful dress for Paris..Its waiting for this summer:) Happy Tuesday, darling
Polka dots make me smile! Such a cute dress lady!
this dress is fantastic! love the look!!!!
and i like your "what if" approach! sometimes i skip off to fantasy camp when shopping and try to justify purchases based on possible POSSIBLE ways i could wear them. lol
and thanks so much for your comment. you understand. bleh. i am still at the annoyed/upset stage, but it is my problem to figure out how i am going to deal with it.
oh i love daisychains! i think this dress is so cute, puts me in mind of garden parties and pimms...just throw a garden party so you can wear it. Looks beautiful with the scarf too :)
xox
It's gorgeous! And I love the photos. You know I do the same thing too :) xoxo
Cute post!
there's s few tops that can go from day to night without an effort... that dress is so pretty!!! love the daysies!
Perfect for a Polo match! The wedges are an excellent choice :)
I have a fur coat that my grandma gave me and it's always my go to "What if I need to attend a black tie gala in the middle of winter" outfit :)
perfect dress! and I love the daisy chain, but we're still stuck in winter here so I'm a little jealous.
oh la la!! :))
very nice dress :)
Yes to Dots, Tiffany!
The last pic makes want to squeeze your cute face!

HAHA I love "what if the sartorialist is in town??" that's the best. I'm going to use that!
how fun! definitely perfect for a polo match. :) i usually wait until there's an event and then i think "i need something perfect to wear JUST for this!" then i go shopping for it. but the "what if" type of shopping sounds like a whole lot of fun! once again, i so wish we lived closer so we could have "what if" shopping adventures!
oh! picking daisies sounds like a dreamy spring plan! lovely polka dots :)
I love this dress! My "what if" dress is a big silk midnight blue gown that is currently 2,000 miles away from me in my parents home. I would wear it if I was going to a ball, with curled hair and dark eye makeup a la Eva Green in the Dior Midnight Poison commercial.
