Thank you for all your kind words and advice about my trip to England and Scotland.
I've been scouring the internet for the perfect accommodations, flights, trains, etc.
But do you want to know what's been on the forefront of my mind?
What I'm wearing!
I don't want to get to the UK looking like a dowdy American, but at the same time I need clothes that I can walk forever in and that will be able to function in all sorts of weather at any given time.
I love easy breezy dresses like these.
Especially when paired with my cute camera bag and adorable Oxfords.
Perfect for gallivanting through the Scottish countryside.
I cannot believe I have before never visited L.L. Bean's Signature website.
With all these cute dresses I am in summer style heaven.

I so have no answer to your shoe question :( :( I always end up wearing flats and dealing with the pain!! although...cute trainers like converse with some fun pants are always a winner!

These definitely look like good travel dresses! And paired with Oxford...that seems oh-so-English to me! :) But don't forget to pair them with leggings to keep warm! :)

I love the first dress! Its so funny you are going to England and Scotland! My cousin and her mom and dad are going to both England and Scotland this summer! Maybe you'll bump into them!

oh i know, these are all so cute! i just got my LL Bean catalogue in the mail and was shocked at how many pretty things they have now. it wasn't always like this. when i lived in maine i would go to their flagship store, and at that time, their clothes were only camping and old lady clothes. i'm so excited they have such a classy new look.
and i am totally like you - when it comes to a trip, i am all about the new travel wardrobe. :) these dresses would be perfect for the UK!

That polka dot shirt dress is divine, and you'd look adorable in it! I spend most of my Mexico vacation-related day dreaming time thinking about what to pack, too!
wow you are going to laban for the summer, that should be amazing. in my dancing days, I always thought laban looked so wonderful and have friends who trained there.
This last dress is particularly cute. Wardrobe planning is one of the best things about a holiday!

Those dresses are so adorable. My mom lives in England and she always tells us to bring comfy shoes, stylish clothes and chic umbrellas as they are the true accessory there:) You will look fantastic in those dresses. Happy day, sunshine
You could never look dowdy, Tiffany. These dresses will definitely serve you well on your travels - and comfy shoes for all the discovery trips you'll do :)
The key to dressing in this country, is layers! Have a good sized handbag and always carry a cardigan and/or scarf 'just in case' and a small retractable umbrella. I also carry some simple flats in my handbag too for all that walking.

You are right..I would NEVER think of LL Bean for great dresses..but each one was cuter than the next:) styled a bit conservative for me...but the dresses themselves are BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing.

There is something so British about the second two dresses -- I could totally see you sitting in the park in one of them, reading a book. I hadn't looked at LL Bean in such a long time! I'm glad you reminded me of them.

I Love LL Bean! And their clothes last FOREVER!
HI! I am leaving for Ireland in 8 days, and am suffering from the same situation! Want to be comfortable/functional, yet, not really interested in completely sacrificing fashion. I finally came to the conclusion that, all of my clothes are pretty comfortable and fashionable and I probably only have to sacrifice footwear (we are backpacking). I am also bringing some of, what I call, granola clothing - hehe. Convertible pants, my chaco and merrell hikers, Columbia rain jacket. But, also a couple sun dresses, scarves, etc. :)
