A Dress to Bike Ride In

I just love this Ruche dress.
I wore it on Sunday to a housewarming party for my friend, Stacy.
I got her the below cookie jar at Pier 1 and filled it with these freshly made chocolate chip cookies.
Then I thought, "Well I might as well go all out with the stripes" and I threw on this dress.

The fabric is light and breezy.
I also wore it while riding my bike to another's friends dinner party and it just felt wonderful billowing in the wind behind me.
(No worries- I wore a cream slip underneath!)
I vowed to wear more dresses while riding bikes.

This was actually the dress I wore when I had my run-in with that farmer in Scotland.
(shudder)
But I don't hold that against the dress.
I guess random men like stripes as much as bloggers.

Do you ride bikes in dresses?
Don't you love how it feels?

Well, I don't ride a bike, so no dresses for bike riding either. But I do love the dress you're wearing!

Haha, like Sophie I actually don't ride bikes either (I'm afraid that would be quite dangerous given my level of focus and living in London!). So I'm impressed that you ride with dresses (and such cute ones at that!

I wish I could ride my bike more often, but I live in a very un-bikeable area. I also wish I had that dress from Ruche! I've been admiring it for ages...

Love those stripes! It looks so happy, and I love even more that you found a jar to match. You're so adorable, Tiffany :)

And I've never ridden a bike in a dress - I don't even own a bike currently (because I live amongst hills)...but I will have to go to the beach one day and ride a beach cruiser in a dress just to revel in that feeling! :)

Ooh, I'm loving your striped dress and that's such a fun jar. I have yet to ride a bike while in a dress but you make it sound so fun that I might just have to give it a go. :)

I always get a little nervous about riding a bike with a dress/skirt on. I'm much too afraid of showing off the goods lol!

haha, i guess that's true. :) that dress is adorable on you, and i love your housewarming gift - such a fun idea! i love the thought of riding my bike in a pretty dress. i have the perfect little bike for it and i always think girls look extra beautiful riding in dresses. unfortunately, it was always too cold to wear a dress in san francisco, and i rarely get to ride my bike in LA now. so sad! maybe someday i'll be able to try it. and sad we weren't able to meet up last week, but that's alright. i'm sure i'll be up again soon. we really want to take a week and just hang out in sf, without any other agenda than to see friends, so hopefully that will be in our near future.

I love ruche! and the dress looks great on you. But lets see ride a bike in a dress? Maybe if I had shorts under, and if I had a bike. haha! I'm a new follower! Hope you will follow back.

Dresses and cycling do mix well, I find - unless they are too short or too long :)

Jeezo! Scottish men are the worst at approaching women, I went years without a date! You are beautiful and exotic - that's where I went wrong.
