How do you sleep? A tale of a sleep dancer.

Mr. Branflake said this was a fairly accurate portrayal of my sleep dancing.

The other night Mr. Branflake had troubles sleeping because I was tossing and turning.
At one point he said I actually started dancing in bed.
I guess I lifted my arms in the air and started moving them around in slow movements.
I then dropped them to my sides and kicked my leg in the air and held it with a pointed toe.

He said it was the strangest thing and just stared at me in amazement until I calmed down and went back to being a normal person.

I remember as a newly wed being terrified that I was a weird sleeper and freak out my new husband.
Luckily, Mr. Branflake promised me that I have never snored, talked in my sleep, or had weird sleep walking episodes.

But now sometimes I sleep dance.

I'm curious now if any of you have weird sleeping things that you're willing to share.
Do you sometimes freak out your bed partner?

I cover my head with my comforter =) Thought it was a weird thing until a friend told me she does that too. Yayyyyy :D

That's so poetic and perfect for you to do! I love that you sleep dance. I'd like to give that a try. Don't know how much J would appreciate it though :) xoxo

That's kind of cool, actually, to dance in your sleep.

The only thing funny about how I sleep is the sheer difficulty of waking me up. My husband, though, is prone to talking, often loudly. It scared me to death the first time but now it's just funny.

Katie- I cannot wake up either! It takes a village, really.

thats hilarious! I don't think I've ever done anything weird. Bryan is the weird sleeper in our family.

at least you don't grind your teeth in your sleep like me! sigh...it's not sexy at all!

I sleep talk sometimes, but I really have never worried about someone freaking out about it. It's pretty normal behavior...and better than snoring, which disturbs people a lot more.

I sleep walk and talk in my sleep. I tend to scare people.

Haha that is SO funny. Too bad he didn't get it on video. My husband is super super active in his sleep. Freaked the you know what out of me when we got married lol.

John used to talk when we first moved in together, but sadly he's outgrown it! Maybe he was nervous about doing something silly, too!

haha, that's so awesome! every once in a while i talk or laugh in my sleep. and i'm definitely a tosser & turner. my favorite thing is to bunch the blankets up and sleep half under, half over. apparently i make this happen in my sleep which drives dannon crazy {he's a sheets-tucked-in kind of guy}.

I've been told I talk in my sleep and I toss and turn like crazy. I'd rather be a sleep dancer!

Apparently, from what my sister used to tell me, I snore really loudly and mumble in my sleep sometimes. She can't really understand what I'm saying, but I'm mumbling! LOL!

That photo is pretty amazing too! :)

Oh my, what an amazing photo! I'm afraid to admit I snore, I talk and am prone to insomnia, too. Mr Branflakes is very happy to have a 'sleepdancer'. X

Neat :)
I rub my feet on themselves, the sheets, or my hubby's feet... Strange habit but it calms me!

Sleep dancing sounds way more attractive than the snoring I do sometimes. Haha!

you weirdo! lol! i am one to talk. lol.

years ago i shared a room with my youngest sister, and she told me that i laughed all the time in my sleep. what a weirdo! this was back in the young, care-free days -- i don't think i have laughed in my sleep for years. sigh.

i have trouble sharing a bed with anyone (and i mean a man -- lol). i am just more comfortable and less self-conscious when sleeping alone. it generally becomes an issue when dealing with a new man. ugh. not sure how or if i will ever get over this particular issue, as i have always been this way. if/when i am trying to sleep with a man, i generally toss and turn, sleep for a tiny bit, then give up and hit the couch where i slip into a semi-normal sleep on my own. it is a problem, and it sends a not-so-great message. sigh.

sorry for the tmi, but you asked for it!!!!

You are just so darn cute. If I were to sleep dance I would wake myself right up because I'm a horribly light sleeper. Makes is hard to get a restful night's sleep. xo

dancing in bed? that is too cute!! i toss and turn all night..

okay this totally killed me. the thought of you sleeping and then dancing in your sleep is hilarious!!

me? nope i just toss around all over the bed. a cup of tea and quiet thoughts before bed usually knocks me out!

I thought I was a pleasant person to sleep next to, but I found out a couple weeks before I had Daphne, that I had been snoring this whole pregnancy. Blair was to sweet to wake me up or even tell me. It wasn't until I woke up to him on the couch one morning and he said it was because he couldn't sleep. After much prodding he finally told me it was all my fault. If he didn't fall asleep before me, he had a hard time sleeping.

Poor guy

Heehee, that's funny... All I've been told (as far back as junior high when sleeping over at friends') is that I talk, and I've said some weeeiiiird things apparently...
