A Traditional Dancing Branflake Thanksgiving Dinner Party

Tradition.
Families, countries, and friendships are rooted by tradition.
Sometimes it's tempting to break away from tradition.
Mr. Branflake and I jetted off to a romantic getaway last Thanksgiving
but we found ourselves at the fanciest restaurant in Monterey eating turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.
So although traditional things may be boring to some I think Thanksgiving is a way for us to tip our feathered hats toward these wonderful traditions.

The Decor
This is the most traditional Thanksgiving setting I could find.
Rustic, elegant, and a clear celebration of the harvest.
Photo from Martha Stewart

The Menu
does not get any more traditional than this.
If you want an amazing stuffing recipe just tweet or email me and I'll send it to you.
My family loves it and I make it every year.
Images from Williams Sonoma-
Green beans, turkey, stuffing, rolls, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie

What I'm Wearing
I love the classic look of lockets, sweetheart necklines, feathered hats, and leather gloves.
Classy and simple.
Locket, dresshat glovescuffclutchshoes

The Favor
I just don't think we decorate enough Thanksgiving cookies.
I think I need to start this new tradition.

Do you embrace traditions?
For all my friends not in the U.S.:
I promise if you invite me over I will cook a huge traditional Thanksgiving meal for you- any time of year.
I promise.

Oh, those food pictures are making me hungry...
We get to do two thanksgivings this year. That's what happens when your family and your in-laws only live an hour apart. I'm not complaining, though. I'm all about the great big traditional family meal.

It's official...I would love to spend Thanksgiving with you, Tiffany - this dinner party is incredible!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so I'm all about making the most of it. Though I will admit - my family and I tend to eat in our pajamas! We actually buy a brand new pair of pajamas for the occasion! :P

Ours is very traditional too, but with a Southern flair, as some years we fry the turkey. And my mom has to cook it all!

Yum!!! Since I am pescetarian (fish, veggies, fruits, dairy, etc), I usually have some sort of salmon for my entree instead of turkey.
I love the cookies as party favors! It might be fun to do something like that with a decorate your own type set up.
