My Day Off

Yesterday was my first day off in a long time.
I started out the morning with a little exercise with my mom.
When I say exercise I mean Christmas shopping at the outlet mall.
Things were bought at J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Gap.
Can I tell you how hard it is to go to an outlet mall while on a shopping freeze?

Thankfully, my mom was there to offer to buy those sweet gloves as one of my Christmas gifts.
Well, those gloves, a top at Banana, and a pair of riding pants from Gap.
Yes, I am a 28 year old woman who still goes to the mall with her mother.
Thanks, Mom!
(This note of gratitude would mean a whole lot more if you read my blog).

.

Later that night Mr. Branflake and I went out for burgers and shakes with a few of our friends.
Have you been to Johnny Rockets?
It's a fun classic diner with shiny red seats and straws in cute containers.

After dinner we went to see the newest Adam Sandler movie, "Jack and Jill."

Just as an FYI, I hardly ever watch movies.
The last movie Mr. Branflake and I saw together was Toy Story 3.
Before that it was GI Joe.
I'd rather be reading.

Despite the fact that I hate watching movies I love my friends and I wanted to spend time with them so we went and saw the worst movie ever.

Both our friends are twins and since this movie was about twins I thought at least they enjoyed it.
The husband thought it was the most hilarious movie and swore he would be up all night giggling.

But the wife said, as the credits were rolling,

"That was the dumbest movie ever."

Agreed.
But at least I got my Milk Duds!

Are you doing anything fun this weekend?
Anyone else here only go to a movie if there's food involved?

Yes, shopping is good exercise! I still show with my Mom and am happy I can bring her out for the day. That movie does look bad. Adam Sandler can go either way but I couldn't even make it through the trailer. Yay for milk duds at least, huh? Happy Friday, Cutie! xo

I'm British so I don't know the joy of Milk Duds! But I'm sure I'd love them. I personally love watching movies, but I'm prone to over analysing them. I just find them really interesting. But what a bad choice of film =D

It sounds like you had the most incredible day off, Tiffany! And I am loving those prezzies your mom bought you for Christmas.

P.S. I too would rather be reading than watching movies. The last time I went to the theaters was, like...5 years ago. :P

I still go shopping with my mom, too! It's so much more better to brave the holiday crowds with someone else. My husband and I never go the movie theater, either. We like to talk during movies and don't like to hear other people talk while we're watching!

Tiffany, I still shop with my mother. As a matter of fact, I prefer shopping with my mother. The little girl inside me still enjoys this experience because my mother almost always buys me something. I'm still kinda spoiled...I guess.

I'm so excited about my weekend! My good friend from Oklahoma is here and we're having a small wedding anniversary partay for her and her hubby! I can't wait!

I'm totally the same way -- I rarely go to the movie theater. Actually, I just prefer watching movies at home... So, when we do end up at a theater, it's always something funny like Iron Man that my man friend wants to see. I don't mind because I usually get dinner, too. Haha.

This weekend I'll be wrapping up my Christmas shopping and gift making (hopefully).

Those gloves are cute!! Hey, I am 35 and I still go shopping with my mom when she comes visit - nothing strange, it's a female bonding activity ;-)

The spectator ballet flats on your photo are really distracting. Must go check them out!
