Eating on Vacation: I Don't Hold Back

As mentioned before, I had a list of things I wanted to eat while at Disneyland.
I usually hate lists but when it comes to food I am the most organized person on the planet.
That organization paid off for I was able to basically eat the entire park.

How much did I eat?
Scroll down and take a gander.

Be forewarned, food at Disneyland is not particularly cheap.
The best bang for your buck, though, is the Bengal Barbecue in Adventure Land across from the Indiana Jones ride. That's where I got my grilled asparagus.
 Great flavor and decent prices.

The best thing there?
The Dole Whips.

How do you eat on vacation?
Do you hold back or plow through like me?

the rainforest is such a fun place to eat! I usually don't hold back, when on vacation.
We are planning a family vacation to see "mickey" sometime this summer. So we are saving, cause like you said, it ain't cheap.

Oooo la la! Go you! You would be my best travel companion. I cannot go on a diet while on vacation and I hope everybody overlooks this comment because this is not going to sound pretty but... I love street food, truck food and regional food made by real people. I'm still working through the little shops here and I love it. Those tacos made me SO hungry.

I am officially STARVING now!

Haha, I love this post! I always eat like a starving person whenever I go to Disneyland, even though the food is pricey. I just accept the fact that I've come to Disneyland to indulge and play, so I don't hold back either ;)

I always go to Indiana Jones for those bacon-wrapped asparagus! And the jumbalaya at the Blue Bayou is so delicious...and of course, the churros! They're like $5 each, but I always have to have one when I'm there!

Funny enough, I'm not such a big fan of the pineapple ice cream! I had them at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, and then tried them again here - they're a little too sweet/artificial tasting to me. But man, the lines for that thing are always insane!

I've been bugging Mardy for us to get Disneyland annual passes...now I'm convinced - we're getting them! :)

Remind me to eat breakfast before reading any of your food-related posts. All that deliciousness makes me hungry!

So that's a corn dog! I usually lose weight on holiday because I don't pick all the time the way I do at home when I'm cooking.

depending on our budget for a trip I don't like to hold back. I like to eat a lot throughout the day because I'm intrigued by so many different places.

Even though I don't eat pork those corn dogs look awesome (as does everything else).

I've always wanted to eat a churro.

I used to inhale everything in sight, before my stomach condition. Now I have to pace myself--and it does NOT make me a happy duckie.

oh how i wish we were back there ... not splitting corndogs, savoring dole whips, standing in line for popcorn while the boys ride star tours. i've been trying to figure out how to blog about our amazing trip. there's just so much! i might have to break it down and follow your lead. the food definitely deserves it's own post. i miss you guys like CRAZY!

Y U M-I'm drooling! I feel like I pick my vacation locations partially based on the food, so I definitely like to enjoy it!

Holy cow deiciousness!!!! Rainforest Cafe is one of my favorite places :)

My life? Holy smokes! It is going to sound boring, but I promise you it has been time consuming! Work (lots of it), school(last class of my masters degree, only the exams left after this!), and job searching. I am looking for a job in DC!!!! HOPEFULLY some school will want me. It is a tight job market though so I am concerned. Other than that? NOTHING. I know. boring. Sometimes I watch Pixar movies and eat ice cream. When job searching wraps up, I'll have an easier go of it!

This is one of the reasons I adore you so, Tiffany. I'm in full agreement -- when you're on vacation, you can't hold back because who knows if you'll ever get to go back. I think sometimes you just need to indulge and make sure you walk around a lot to burn some of those calories off -- or at least that's what I tell myself.

i eat pretty healthy on a day to day basis, but i definitley give in to sweets when i'm on vacation! my all time favorite sweet is nutella, which i rarely let myself have!

and in response to your comment about avocado toast, yes, it's just avocado spread on bread and it's amazing! i like a little sea salt on top too!
