The Paris Wife and French Dresses

My friend, Stacy, is hosting a Parisian book club party and we are all reading
The Paris Wife by Paula McClain.
I can't wait to read the book, attend the party
(where French edibles and music will be had), and wear this dress.
Why this dress?
Have you seen the cover?

Okay, the dress isn't exactly the same as the one on the cover, but I love how they both make me want to stroll down Le Champs Elysee and visit  le Jardin des Tuileries and perhaps pick up a bunch of flowers at a local market and a baguette from la boulangerie.

More than that, it makes me want to live at a time where writers like Gertrude Stein and F. Scott Fitzgerals hung outside Les Deux Magots and discussed art, politics, and people.

Have you read The Paris Wife?
What did you think?
Is this book going to make me want to pack my bags and live along the Seine?

First, can I just say that you look beyond divine in that dress, Tiffany? And the pointe shoes and topknot? You just look breathtaking and so lady-like.

Second...please, please, please let me know what you think of this book once you've finished it. I have been reading books about Degas, Marie van Goethem (the star of his sculpture Little Dancer Aged Fourteen, and the Paris Opera lately, and would love to read more fiction about Paris! :)

Hello !
(almost)parisian girl here. Are you sure about Café de Margaux or isn't the famous café called Les Deux Magots, where all the painters/writers/composers/philosophers... used to go in the late 1800/1900's ...
But it's a very sweet dress and beautiful pictures, as usual !
Have a nice day.
xx

(I said almost Parisian, cuz i'm not exactly from Paris, but Versailles, anyway, still French...)

I adored it, but it actually reminded me that real people, with real lives live in Paris, and that it isn't all gorgeous rain showers and macarons!

I love that dress! I also love that you pose in pointe shoes for your outfit photos. I've always wanted to wear pointe shoes with cute outfits for blog posts, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. You always look so lovely, though, that I am feeling inspired! I may try it soon. :)
