5 Guys: East Coast Comes to the West

I first had 5 Guys in Virginia where peanut shells ran loose on the floor, the men behind the counter spoke Arabic with my Arabic speaking brother in law, and the fries came in a big brown bag
(not the Blomingdales kind).

I loved it.
And when I heard that 5 Guys came to Sacramento, I was real curious to see how the West would accept the East.

You see, food in suburbia is not quite like food you find in the city.
(understatement of the century).

How did we fare against our 3,000 mile away counterparts?

Pretty darn good.

I'm wearing two necklaces: One Celtic knot from Scotland and my new necklace from Mr. Branflake.

I've been craving it ever since.
All toppings are free.
My recommendation would be the bacon cheeseburger with barbecue sauce and jalapenos.
Don't be off put by the American cheese.
I hate American cheese, but on 5 Guys it just fits.

I'm on the East Coast so there is literally 3 Five Guys in a 20 mile radius from me...I've been a good girl resisting the one near my job but that day where you are just famished...it works every time!! =)

The burgers do nothing to tempt me. But the fries? Oh golly. I might have to run across the street and get myself some sweet potato ones today.

They just put in a 5 Guys about a mile from our house, but there are no peanuts! Weird! Anyway, it's really good, and it's dangerously close to the new frozen yogurt shop. : )

I've been meaning to try this for a couple years, just to see how it fares against In N Out. Not that I'm a die hard In N Out fan, but just that it's the closest thing to it that's here. Looks worth trying!

We are from Alexandria, where the first five guys opened, so I have been going forever! It is always one of my first stops when we return to the East Coast. Glad Cali is enjoying the awesomeness too ;)

Well, I'm pescatarian (vegetarian plus seafood/fish), so I don't know if they have anything for me. So I've never been! BUT I've heard amazing things about their food and fries. They seem like a fun place! I want to put peanut shells on the floor! ;)

Lately every single time I visit Dancing Branflakes I leave absolutely starving. This food looks so incredible, Tiffany! I love the way they serve the fries - reminds me of Nathan's in Coney Island! :)

I am cautious as for meats I eat ( whenever that happens, like once a year if that...) but you make me drool :)

what I want to know is - how do eat all this amazing food AND stay as gorgeously slim as you ARE?! I'm not sure I could pull that one...
