I laughed at that, but I also think it's true. Scarves give off an artsy professional air that I think would go well with the San Francisco chill and style. Bonus points for adding texture, flair, and color to any outfit.

I do love scarfs though. They can give you that artsy professional look even if you are just wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
I also think floor skimming maxi skirts give off that same vibe.

So agree with you. When I imagine an artist professional, I instantly go to black outfit with scarf and hair up.

These scarves are gorgeous, and totally "artsy professional", which is possibly the best clothing category I've ever heard! You're going to look so gorgeous, and speak so beautifully that whatever you wear will only enhance!

a scarf is a good idea! i have many scarves (scarfs. lol!). that snazz up just about any outfit! i would loan you one if i could, but i bet you already have a ton of them!

I love summery scarves - they make such a great accessory! A H&M just opened near us, so I can't wait to go visit and check their scarves out!
I say artsy professional calls for the scarf (as you know), statement earrings, an elegant topknot, and a singular cocktail ring. It all seems appropriate to me! :)
Definitely add a focal piece of jewelry! The scarves are all gorgeous and, I agree with Allison, the perfect artsy profesional accessory.
Yup. Earrings too. I love scarves. They are so inexpensive but completely change an outfit. Don't freak out. You always look put together, Tiffany, and will be beautiful in whatever you choose to wear. Your post is up...looks great. xo

hmm, I would think artsy professional might include brooches or statement skirts as well. I love that first scarf!
I adore scarves. I have about twenty and counting...
I think cute hair clips/bands/etc are another good thing for that artsy professional look--plus, keeping your hair back from your face when speaking is usually nice.
