Last weekend, my cousin had her baby shower. She didn't know the gender of the baby until just a few days before, so her sister and my aunt threw a perfectly themed, gender neutral, rubber ducky baby shower. There were hundreds of rubber duckies everywhere and it was so neat to see how well they incorporated the theme in every nook and cranny.
Although I loved the the rubber ducky cupcakes, poufs, balloon ducks, and the duckies hanging out in cake stands and fish bowls, I was especially blown away by all the things made by my aunt.
Things made by my amazing aunt:
the ducky diaper cake
the mini diaper cakes decorating the tables
the fruit basket pram
the ducky cookies
a ducky changing table pad and some linens.
We were trying to convince her to start her own business on Etsy, but she just waved her hand in the air and said, "Eh. But that would take all the fun out of it. Besides, everyone can do this."
Whatever. She's amazing.
You're going to be an amazing mom!
Note about the photos:
Sorry a few of them aren't of the best quality. The light was rapidly changing and it was difficult adjusting my settings constantly. Besides that, people thought I was a little crazy with my camera (trying to get the perfect angle and lighting) and I got way self-conscious. Next time I won't be so lame and just be a loud proud camera woman.
