Goal: A Healthy Weekend

After last weekend's pigout, I stuck to eating healthy this week. Inspired by Diana, I bought some avocados and put them in my salad every night. Okay, not the most revolutionary way to eat them, but I liked getting my fats from plants and not animals.

It's a small step toward eating better and cleaner.

So I'm trying to eat healthier. Except tomorrow is Caramel Day at my favorite chocolate shop and I'm going to be first in line.

What's Caramel Day, you ask? I'll be instragramming the delights for inquiring minds.

Also, on Sunday night I'm hosting a British Isles Dinner Party. Anyone have suggestions on a good main dish for seven people? Any help would be appreciated!

Have a healthy weekend, my friends!
Also, did you know I have a Facebook Page?
Go ahead and like it. You know you want to (hee hee)

ps... I wrote a few heartfelt posts this week. Thank you for your constant support. This girl loves you.

Ok, British mains...

Toad in the Hole
A big joint of roast beef
Beef pudding or steak pie, Shepherd's pie or Cottage pie, or even a fish pie
Beef Wellington (my fav)
Hotpot or beef and red wine
Slow roasted pork with crackling

if you need any help or best options for the recipes, give me a shout!

Avocados is a health nuts butter. I LOVE it. Especially in a cobb salad. But it's not too terrible to pig out every once in a while like you previous weekend. I plan on doing that THIS weekend hehe

I know what you're feeling. After I pig out the next few days, I feel like eating extra healthy. It much be my body's way for craving vitamins and nutriants. I'm not so sure abotu the main dish for 7. Maybe try a meal that's based on fish.

i had the most DELICIOUS lunch today. a salad with butter lettuce, grilled chicken, cashews, pink grapefruit and avocado. with a raspberry vinaigrette. TO DIE FOR. sometimes healthy food is super delicious and oh-so satisfying.

p.s. i chased it down with a coke, and followed it up with a few bite size butterfingers. so...i am not all that healthy. lol! oh well.

British Isles _ a good old roast lamb with all the trimmings - roast potatoes, roast parsnips and Yorkshire Pudding (savoury) would be delish with some gravy.

We just had a healthy dinner tonight: Tuscan Vegetable Saute with pasta (no sauce). It had squash, peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, and chickpeas! And I added feta cheese on top :) Dinner party sounds fun!
