Big News!!!!

I took this photo in October. Something told me to take as many photos oh my neighborhood as I could because in my heart I knew we would be leaving.

Mr. Branflake got offered his dream job in Virginia!!!! When I say dream job, I mean dream job. He'll be leaving in a few weeks to start and I swear it's like having a five year old on Christmas Eve. Every single moment of my day.

Because of my various obligations in Sacramento, I'll be staying here until the dance season is over in June. So that's the downside. Huge downside. But this is his dream and there's no way I'd let anything stop him from doing it.

Thank you all again for your love and support. Yes, we are moving and things are going to be a bit different in my personal life, but like I said before- this blog isn't going anywhere. I've been doing this for a long time and I can't imagine my life without it.

That said...

Anyone have any leads in the dance world in the Virginia/Maryland/DC area? I don't know the arts in the area and I need as much help as possible.
Be more up to date on my new adventure by following my personal Facebook Page, Twitter, and Instagram.

  3. Aww you're moving to my hometown! Many people are surprised when they find out how large the arts/ dance scene is in the DMV (DC,Maryland,Virginia). It helps that the economy is pretty stable there because of all the government jobs/contractors, etc. And plus you're only 4 hours away from NYC :) Ill shoot you more info later!!! xo

  8. Congratulations to Mr. Branflake!!! From Sacramento to Virgina is a big difference...My biggest advice is to stock up on sweaters & winter stuff on After Christmas sales for next winter. I don't know much about the dance scene but I will tell you that you can get from DC to New York City in less than a day. That could definitely open some doors of opportunity for you!! Best wishes in all your decisions to come!! =)

  18. While I don't know her personally, Naomi Davis who authors the blog Rockstar Diaries used to be a dance teacher in DC. You could always send her an email via her blog and see if she has any advice for you!

Good luck with your move in June!

And I second what anonymous said about me, Naomi talks about dance every now and again on her blog and she may have some leads.

    Good luck lady!

Hi! I've changed the comments section so I can more easily respond to you. I never remove comments unless they are horribly offensive or spam. Unless I really really really am interested in your designer discount handbags. Or Viagra.
