The Best Weekend!

At the Arlington National Cemetery Amphitheater.

You guys, I had the best weekend in Virginia! I got in late Friday night and the fun didn't stop for one moment. Here were the highlights:

~We went apartment hunting and (gasp!) found an adorable two bedroom/two bathroom.
Deets coming soon!
~Went dress shopping for me and bought the above skirt.
You can't tell, but it's actually orange and cream.
~Shopped at the most elaborate/hugest/ incredible grocery store I have ever seen.
Have you been to Wegman's? Oh. My. Lanta!
~Had dinner at a really good Lebanese restaurant in Downtown Fairfax.
~Watched the 49ers WIN!
~Cuddled every chance we got.
We were 'that couple'.
~Visited Arlington National Cemetery (surreal, humbling, and beautiful).
~Ate sushi and ice cream in our fluffy hotel bed.
~Watched Food Network.
I don't have cable in California. This was a very big deal.

How was your weekend?
Did you eat/do/cook/see anything fun?

Well I'm glad you had a good weekend! Me not so much, but you can't win them all.

Cannot wait to read more about the apartment!

Congrats on the apartment! We had dinner at a friend's place this weekend. Other than that, there was a lot of lounging in bed watching The West Wing on Netflix. As tax season and returning to work approaches, I'm basking in the boring.

Really like your outfit - I am a stripe kind of girl myself, so this is perfect. :)

It sounds like you had a fabulous weekend! One of my best friends lived in Fairfax and there are such great restaurants there.
I went to school in upstate NY (not too far from the original Wegman's) and it is really in a different class. My friends even liked to study there and the prepared foods are pretty tasty! The place puts me in a better mood.

wegmans is like a country on to its self. they have great produce and tea. i was in recovery for the weekend. lots of soup and smoothies. lots of t.v. and reading but it was strangely good. as a fellow virginan or NOVA a 2 bedroom at a reasonable price is a prize, indeed. welcome to the state!

Wegman's is crazy isn't it? It is my mother in law's favorite place to go. I am glad you are already finding happiness in VA!

So many Wegman's lovers! This is awesome!

OMG WEGMANS IS THE BEST GROCERY STORE EVER! I could never live ANYWHERE where there isn't one :) You have to get the Wegman's Basting oil (by the olive oil) and roast your vegetables in it, marinade your meat...dip crusty bread in it. It's amazing, as well as a lot of their other products. :)

Hooray for fabulous weekends! I'm a little bit in love with the chevron print of your skirt; and the idea of ice cream and sushi in bed sounds perfect! Also pertinent...I don't have cable either; but whenever I have the chance to watch, I position myself in front of The Food Network and never waver. Great minds... :D

Ahh...I love Arlington! When I was 14 I won a writing competition and was able to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier with 3 other students. It was one of the greatest things I've ever done.
