Things I Ate This Weekend

My sister-in-law spoils me. Every time I visit her, my brother-in-law, and too cute for words nephew in Monterey, she always cooks beautiful foods that are worthy of a restaurant menu. She says they eat like that everyday: simple, fresh, and flavorful meals. As someone who relies on granola bars and fruit snacks to make it through the day, visiting them is the biggest treat I could give myself.

Here are some snapshots of things she made this weekend:

Garlicky Pasta with tomatoes, spinach, shrimp, and Parmesan shavings.
Cream Currant Scones for breakfast.
Berries and Butter for my...
Light and fluffy whole wheat pancakes

Pioneer Woman Pot Roast with amazing garlic mashed potatoes

Did you eat anything yummy this weekend?

Everything looks so good!! I need to make the Pioneer Woman pot roast and those garlic mash potatoes. Looks really good. :)

I had homemade crepes on Sunday, and they were fantastic! I never had crepes before that.

I would first like to say those dishes look delish. What a treat for the fam, every. single. day! What a treat for you!

Secondly, FAMILY DOES THAT (and I mean that in the best possible way)! Don't get me wrong I love it, but when I go visit fam it's like, "pull out the goods (and whole pantry) we're going to unload!" And I, like a great house guest never turn it down.

Love just about anything Pioneer Woman. If you haven't tried her meatloaf its amazing and I don't like meatloaf. Nothing too exciting in our house: baked tilapia, ham and pea risotto and quiche were dinners. Really want that pasta and scone recipe!

Oh my goodness, what a delicious weekend! I ate more than my fair share of Indian food, but I think my favorite "meal" of the weekend was the cheese plate we put together last night!
