Watching the San Francisco 49ers battle it out in the Super Bowl! What?! I know I haven't blogged a lot about my love for the 49ers (apart from that post about the player I know), but I grew up watching the games with my dad. I've never met a man who loves the team more than my him and the fact that they've come this far is a very very big deal.
I used to make fun of his yelling and jumping until I realized I'm the exact same way. In fact, I think I'm much much worse and I have to tone it down in public. It's another one of those love/hate realizations that I'm basically becoming my parents.

i have zero interest in the super bowl - i'm a NY Giants fan (and Jets b/c of season tix) -- WHAAAAA rockstar - LOVE IT!
John and I have decided that after living in Baltimore and then moving to SF, we need to be very careful about where we head next–professional sports teams just seem to flourish! ;)
I was actually a big Niners fan as a kid, so it's fun to relive all of that!
oh i remember the last time the 49ers were in the super bowl...against my chargers and we lost! i was in elementary school and we had 'charger days' leading up to the game, i was crushed :) i am jumping for joy because it's february - my son and i were born on the same day so we celebrate twice, valentines day and the anniversary of when my husband and i got engaged!
A guy I went to high school played for the 49ers. No idea if he still does though. Arnaz Battle...

Sounds like a fun weekend!
Over here in the UK, the 6 nations (rugby) has just started- and my dad sounds exactly the same as yours! He's Welsh, and gets so overexcited when they play. I've lucky enough to go to see Wales play in Cardiff a few times with him, and when you're at the game, no one cares if you're jumping up and down and screaming yourself hoarse! It's amazing.
Iz and I are going to see Warm Bodies today and that's making me happy!
